I was by 14's green when it went in - we didn't see it but we certainly heard the crowd go nuts.

McBeth was getting ready to putt and he says "was that a 2?!?"

so I have no clue what youre talking about.

Wiggins beats the crap out of this guy, in fact he has pretty awful form, just seems surprising to me but it could be alot of things.
LOL. Awful form? Do you know what you're talking about?

- Eagle on #10 (reachable 554 ft par 4, more like 468 ft as the crow flies).
- Birdie on #11 (TIGHT 734 ft par 4).
- Eagle on #12 (reachable downhill but blind 901 ft par 5). (He eagled #12 all 4 rounds.)
- Eagle on #13 with a 350ft throw-in (888ft segmented par 5).
He also birdied #7,#8,#14 to bookend that run, but those are ho-hum by comparison.
Don't forget about the re-putt he canned on 6 to save the par.

After watching Anthon's blowup on hole 8 (It's been suggested that his first roller hit one of the spectators and stopped it from rolling back around), I thought that was Schusterick was going to just cruise in uncontested.
Then Wysocki started this amazing run.
He was the victim of bad luck on hole 15, I believe. His drive was the best of the bunch, it just nicked one of the low hanging branches. Schusterick went in the rough and got a favorable roll out.
On 16, Wysocki's little brother stepped into his peripheral as he was setting up his long putt. Not sure if he would have made it, but it broke his concentration.
Not sure what happened on 17. I was up by the tee pad, so didn't get to see the angle where he hit chains. Not sure if it was a bad break/chain out or if he just hit weak side.
After that, it was over. Huge props to Ricky Wysocki. I will remember the run he made much more than I'll remember Schusterick's win (albeit his Eagle on 2 was pretty good).

He hit the weak side. He didn't rush it, because he really doesn't take much time on any putt, but it seemed as if he was just rattled. Almost like the pressure was so overwhelming. After all, it is the USDGC with hundreds of people watching, 1 mistake is gonna happen haha. He just hit it on the left side a little high and it bounced right out.

No, this is the guy that got destroyed by Wiggins at Am Nats (2010). Wiggins was playing out of his mind at the time, so Wysocki dropped down to take Juniors at Worlds. At Worlds, Wiggins was a few strokes off the hot round the first round. He had the hot round EVERY OTHER ROUND he played

LOL. I know. How is a 17 y/o finishing 2nd at an AM Major awful? Also, his technique is solid.
