Realistically, my work schedule and a couple of other things have made it easy for me to put it off. I may have time to write the reviews tonight or this weekend.

I think we will by the end if the year, or shortly thereafter. I've been there twice and only played creekside three times. I want to play creekside one more time before i give it a 5.

We made a quick trip to Selah last week, just long enough to get about ten hours of work in. We marked spots for the long-anticipated tree transplanting, and we met with the Mount Vernon Chamber of Commerce to start things rolling for Am World Doubles in March.

I have to say, I love Creekside. To be honest, I had forgotten how nice it is. For starters, I love #16-#17-#18 for the way they play and the way they look. I've often thought that if we had started the course on those three holes, people would have been so blown away that it would change the way they look at the course (of course, they might lose five discs and want to go home, too.) But this isn't about getting ratings, and I'm not looking to influence anyone's opinion. If somebody doesn't think that Creekside belongs in the top ten in the world. for whatever reasons they have, that's their opinion, and that's just fine.

I also love the other trio of water holes (#3-#4-#5), and hole #10 is one of my all-time favorites. I did notice that they had been mowing way too narrow on holes #2, #7, and #8, so we talked about that.

It looks like we will finally be removing the extra trees from #10 and #11, and we'll be using them to improve holes like #2, #7, and #8, which have always been a little too wide open.

What was amazing to me was that, of all the trees that Selah lost in the drought, very few will have an impact on how the course plays. It looked like, once again, God was smiling on Selah. In fact, hole #15 will actually play a lot better with three big trees gone and one new one planted. Needless to say, I wouldn't have thought it was possible, and I was very relieved and encouraged.

On Lakeside, #4 and #18 probably got hit the worst by the drought, but we were going to plant trees in strategic spots anyway, so the net change there won't be very different. Even without most of the leaves, the courses are both just beautiful.

Nice update. Thanks John. I think I may be one of the few that enjoyed Creekside more than Lakeside. My wife definitely did as Lakeside was a bit much for her. Can't wait to get back in a month or so and see how it is looking.

Thanks for the update John. Do you know when when the actual transplanting will begin? I'll be there a few days after xmas, will i see any changes?

You and your wide are far from alone. I talked to Dave last week, and he says that he hears 50-50. Lots of people love Creekside, and lots of people love Lakeside.
