Champ Boss with -1 stability rating?

The boss is the first high speed driver I bought. I see the -1 in star plastics but in champ is 0. Thata the first time I've see. A champ with those numbers. Nice disc.

From Innova's website's disc page about the Boss:

All were Dave Feldberg Champ Boss's. One had a -1 stability, and there were five more with 0 stability.

So there are a few possibilities...

1. They make a less stable L mold
2. This was a mis-print
3. This was from an older, less stable mold
4. Same mold but at some point, Innova adjusted the stability rating from -1 to 0 and this was an older run

My guess is #4

This, source: email from Innova.

They used to rate discs the same across all plastics. Some, like the Boss and Katana, fly more overstable in Champ, so they've finally begun rating the Champs differently with a more representative HSS value.

There are still older stampings of the Champ Boss out there with the -1 HSS rating.

Destroyer is a beef S/DS from a LONG time ago (when innova was more consistent), just sayin. wouldnt touch their new stuff.

To be honest, the Destroyer is just in the bag because i feel bad not having an innova disc in my bag.. its what i learned the game with. But i use it maybe a hand full of times in a whole year now.

I just throw what works best for me.

So if they fly differently from plastic to plastic.. how are they both Boss'?

Sounds to me like an easy way out of quality control

They are the exact same mold/shape maybe? Not sure if serious...

haha, alright i feel ya.

i would consider a disc with different flight pattern/stability to be a different disc.. but then again thats why i dont throw innovas new stuff.

I will stick to throwing what my discs say they are and leave you guys alone

Different plastics have different physical properties. That will make their shape a little different, and therefore their flight, a little. Makes sense to me
