As always great advice here. I agree disc down, the power of learning mids and putters really fills gaps in your game. Also agree to go to a little more understable disc to help the disc find its line. The thing I really found helpful was to stop looking away at my reach back as I do with distance driving. I keep my head in the shot and look at my target, this automatically brings my power back some and help with my visualizing the shot. Good luck.

Yup. Disc down. Throw a putter or mid without any run up, and remember to follow through.

^^^^ This is perfect advice! Last thing you want is a long slow motion as you try to aim/guide something through the trees.

Also if you do throw Drivers don't throw high speed discs. ( too much margin for error and that extra speed means extra distance off that tree into woods.)Throw leopards, teebirds, sidewinders. You usually want something that is going to flip up flat. I don't understand the disc down talk, I notice a lot of players at my local course, Glen Hilton (heavy woods) who think since a hole is under 250 they should be throwing a midrange or putter when really the shot is shaped for a driver at slower speeds. Sometimes you have to suck up your Pride and throw a Firebird on a 190 ft hole.

Throw flippier plastic in the woods. If I try to throw a mid at %80 to hit a line, I'm probably going to be less accurate than I would if I threw a flippy fairway at %60 power. While both go the same distance.
Flippy being understable for clarification.

One of the shots that helps me in the woods is a forehand at around 1 or 2 o'clock. When done with an overstable mid (Wasp is my preference) an anhyzer forehand will be quite accurate.

At teams, world champ was like, "Just throw all putter in the woods. You'll win." World champ was right.
