Question for a Master...

...or those "in the know"
about to attempt what is for me an ambitious dye on clear plastic(first time on clear). if i dye the underside x color, will color y dyed on the top show up as dyed? for example, if the underside is dyed light to medium blue, will a feature on top dyed yellow be yellow? or would it look green? or would it look green "head on" but yellow at an angle? and if the latter, am i correct in thinking that eventually the two would mix anyway as they "soak" in over time and become a dingy green in the end?
thanks in advance

You will be the master once you try it and see. Of course it has a lot to do with the angle of impingement of light, the frequency of the impinging light, and the index of refraction of the plastic. We expect equations, and a detailed discussion of the mathematical analyses of your results.

I did this with my "end of evil " disc. if you look at the purple clouds at the bottom, I used some reds on the back of the disc.

In your scenario you will get a shade of blue green on the top and bluish close to the same on the bottom, but it will look strange. If you dye out by the wing you will see more of a color separation, murky yellow on top blue on bottom.

Yellow has high transparency as does Orange and red. Blues, purples and browns more opaque and override the prior colors even if on the underside of the disc.

your colors will never soak into the disk so far they will mix.

velocity discs does a lot of clear plastic as well, he probably has a more experience than I do
