Very near completed clearing brush, the last few gold holes still need a little work, but it's shaping up nicely. I won't be putting any more work on the course this month though, the folks are heading on vacation, I'm house sitting. I'll put in a couple more days when I get back in march, it will be all 'clear' (I realize that's part of the job that's never complete, there will always be work that needs to be done on the fairways). Tomorrow I'll take the day to take pictures and film the remaining holes, play the course, and plot out a new map for the actual positions of the tees and pins.
I must say, it's looking nice out there

Thank you Americorps NCCC for helping install tee pads, natural tees built up and framed with logs, filled with packed sand from the ground, likely will add a layer of gravel. We got 8 pads built today, will finish the 9th in the morning, they also helped move and burn brush. Brush is 99% gone, Baskets are scheduled to be delivered on Wednesday, at some point in the near future we have some bobcat work scheduled to remove stumps and move some large logs. By the end of the month we should be in pristine condition. (For anybody hoping to play the course, there may be a time we can make it work before/during summer, but likely won't be available for play until the end of the summer season, late Aug).

That fairway with forest in it looks pretty sick.

That's hole 3, a gentle hyzer down the hill 115', a tight line that I can hit fairly conisistently, though is likely to cause some frustration with the scattered trees in the line.
