I had a few eclipse Vectors get concave from sitting in my car with stuff on top of them. Boiled some water and poured it in the upside down discs while they sat on a bowl, then weighed down the center. My once flat eclipse Vectors were now closer to the super domey FR Vectors and gained some additional high and low speed overstability.

I've done it a few times since with good success. Actually have a Volt that got a messed up flight plate that I'm going to experiment with soon.

I've done this also with Vectors so I don't have to hunt down FRs. As for doing it with a Volt, it adds quite a bit of stability to them. I barely get any turn out of the ones I've done it to.

Will we be seeing a baseline plastic anytime soon? Will the drivers end up being produced in Proton plastic??

Baseline plastic soon? This may happen far down the road. Right now it's easier for MVP to use what they have, then to waste time testing new plastics. They could surprise us, though. Chad and Brad are crafty little buggers.

Drivers in Proton? That has a better chance, but there's no official word, yet.

I don't think that's what he's saying. I believe he is using basic logic mixed with first-hand experience. I could be wrong though

^The could make cores out of base plastic without much trouble, but attaching them to the existing over-mold could be a challenge. Since they use a chemical bond to attach the over-mold to the core the new plastic would need to be similar to what they are using or they would need to figure out a new way, or chemical, to make the bond( I'm not a chemist.)

BUT if they did a core AND over-mold in base plastic that might be easier.

I think that if they made a base plastic Ion, they would see a lot of people switching from wizards etc. But since they don't, I keep throwing wizards, aviars, challengers etc. I don't much care for premium plastic putters for putter duties. I have a Ion and Anode I use for approaches, but its wizards/aviars in the circle.

I'm not even sure this deserves a response.

Let's just wait and see what MVP has in store for us this year. Then you can look back at this thread, and see if what I said was logical. If I'm wrong, I'll have no problem admitting it.
