I think "Even Mixture" would also better describe the elevation/terrain for many courses.

I like "even mixture" and I like "densely wooded"
Renny pops in my head as "even mixture" (I just like how that phrase rolls off my tongue) So what would Nevin be? Heavily or moderately wooded? |

I was thinking about this when playing Chavez Ridge in LA. None of the holes have much elevation change at all, but if you miss your line you can roll 80 vertical feet down hills that the holes only play across. I would consider it mostly flat, but if you defined it based on the (potential) walk it would be in the moderately to very hilly categories.

I player Sertoma Field today. The description on this site was spot on for what I would consider the course. Moderately wooded.

[QUOTE=Dave242;1821542]Conclusions to my observations:
All areas have spotty issues (except IA) – mainly with Over-estimating eIA is perfect and eMA & SC & Augusta do pretty well too – Devens is a big exception wFL tends to over-estimate how Hilly they are nIL & seWI have an issue with thinking things are more Wooded & Hilly than they are Charlotte has an issue with over-estimating how Hilly they are NC has an issue under-estimating how Wooded they are Conclusion of the conclusion – most areas have issues…..I do not think it is accurate to pick on one area (except Charlotte and seWI are pretty bad in their consistency). I would love for Martin or Mashnut to do this same sort of analysis. whew..... I think thats both funny and awesome that NC has ana issue under estimating how wooded holes are.. Guess thats why the more I play, and the more people I have come play Simple Pleasures, the more trees I cut.. NC tough to judge tho, what some in NC call hills in Charlotte I call mounds
