Information on Discraft Z Drone

I throw the Discraft Hornet a lot. It is a great disc and I'm thinking about adding an even more overstable midrange into my bag. All signs are pointing me to the Drone. I see that Dynamic Discs has some Z Drones for sale on their website and just want to hear about how it flies or how it would compare to a Hornet before I buy it. Any feedback would be appreciated!

Drones are beefy OS and have good glide for being such a meathook. It should be more stable than your Hornet. Enjoy.

Z Drones are hands down the best on a super windy day.

not true. stable means to fly straight with no turn or fade. saying it is more stable would mean it flies a straighter line. saying it is more overstable would mean that it has a harder fade and less turn. HUGE DIFFERENCE

Drones are money. Beefy meathook when brand new. Superstraight for 80% of its flight then a reliable healthy fade without much skip when powered up a little. Throws the exact same lines in super windy conditions

I have thrown both a Z Hornet and a ESP FLX Drone. I like my Hornet a lot more than my Drone. The Hornet does a lot more than my Drone did. I think if you have both a Hornet and a Drone in your bag you'll have some overlap until your Hornet beats up.

But really, it's what flys and feels the best for you. I recommend just sticking with the Hornet. But if you feel like you need some more meat hook, go with the Z Drone. A lot of people I play with throw them and love them. It's really a matter of preference between the Hornet and Drone.
