I truly recommend the Drone. I had a Z Hornet that wasn't beat in hardly at all, and it flew like a max weight Buzzz into a headwind, no joke. My CryZtal FLX Drone is so money. Great glide and a strong late hook with a reliable skip. If you want to see some very impressive distance for such an overstable disc, release it on a nice flex shot and watch it work itself back and go a looooong ways.

If your firebird and hornet had a baby, and that baby grew up to be big and strong, it's be a Drone.
Hornet = Workable overstable mid. Can be thrown alot. Drone = Specialty disc; meathook. refer to the wasp/drone poll They're in two different bag slots. You don't carry the FB to throw on a 300' hole with a little bit of a curve do ya?

SOOOOOOOOOO not true! A Z Drone might fall under the "specialty" disc, but that would only be if you can't throw it past 300'. A ESP or Pro D are very workable right from the get go. Especially the lighter weight ones. Which reminds me, weight plays a huge! role in the workability of a NEW drone. Heck I use a beat D drone for flip over anhyzers quite often.

Z Drones are my favorite OS mid. It's the Predator of mids. The newest LE Z Drone run at DD is the best feeling plastic I think they've ever made. Even better than Tournament Pro. Any headwind or any shot I need to throw on an anny and have it flex out and fade hard I reach for the Z Drone. Get one and throw it until it beats to straight. Then get a new one and throw them both. You'll love it that much.

Just an fyi, they are all illegal and overweight for pdga sanctionedttourneys. I I had DD weigh 20-25 and couldn't get one within weight. I I loved them as well, but not worth the risk of overweight for me. Gonna try some d drones for a while.
If you throw pretty far, with solid power you'll like the drones. I if you don't, it'll be a meat hook.

Drones are legal to 180g just like a Roc, right? The ones on the DD site say 177+. Really that big of a risk?

they mean the same thing, a hornet is less stable than a drone, but more stable than a buzzz, etc.
