Thumbs up I have ONE day in Houston to play a course (or 2?)

So I'm coming down for a disc dog competition next month (weekend of 4/13) then a group of us will stay Monday for a golf day. If you could suggest the best Houston has to offer where would you suggest we play ?

We are fine with pay for play as long as a large group can play (I know at least 5 will play might be 10 or so)

Thanks.

If you can go a bit north of Houston, check out Shawshank. You will not be disappointed. Private course (you will most likely have it to yourselves), amazing host, and one of the highest rated courses in Texas (definitely the most fun)

Hey Chris, my folks live up near Lake Conroe, so whenever I may be able to get down there, my top priority will be Shawshank. It is a ways north out of Houston, but I have heard awesome things!

Are you flying out and what area are you staying?

I would also add Jack Brooks as it has two courses and they are great but its a ways south. Texas army trail is always fun.

Tour 18 Golf course in Humble, Herman Park Golf Course, or Memorial Park Golf course.

When it comes to Disc Golf the options are more limited........40+ courses with very few "good" courses. If I had to choose it would be Spring Valley or Windwood which are both pretty good.

I have friends just north of downtown I'll be staying with ... but we'll get up Monday ... go play some disc golf then start the drive home after a round or two. We'll have people from Florida, Michigan and maybe Colorado joining us. We have begun playing disc golf the day after our weekend competitions which I'll be broadcasting by the way so if you have some free time check out discdognation.com the weekend of BG Am's to see a different side of disc !!!

Isn't there a pig farm on the back side of Windwood that reeks all to high hell ?
