Ran into a baby rabbit and its mama while looking for a fellow golfer's disc in the bushes.

There's Tarantulas aplenty at Watson right now. Big ones(females)! Also at the field I practice at every morning there is a Red-Tail Hawk that sits atop the field goal uprights hunting the many Cotton-tailed rabbits around. Yet to see him/her get one but I've seen her try and have picked up a couple flight feathers lost during attempts. Also, also Swifts and more Swifts.

Ran into six deer at Orange Crush, WV, about 15-20 feet away eating grass on the outside of the trees. 2-3 still had their spots.

Playing Tuscawilla in Fl while on vacation in June and on hole #1 a rather large hawk dropped a ripped apart squirrel on our group. Missed hitting a couple of us by a couple feet. We moved away quickly in case he came back for his lunch!

I did not see the critters, but something gave me 70+ mosquito-like bites all over my torso over the weekend.

Maybe that nap in the grass between rounds was not a good idea....

I just played a few rounds at Watson Friday night. I'm surprised I didn't see any.

Red bugs! A lot of people call them chiggers in the south. They can be nasty and the sooner you get them off the less severe the results. They actually wipe off easily but they're too small to see so by the time you realize you got them its too late. Outdoor OFF or other repellants help a lot and shower soon as you can if you think you may have been exposed. I def don't recommend laying in any tall grass!

I played Root River Parkway the other day. It is going on a month old now. I came around a corner of trees and heard rustling looked up and saw the butt of what seemed to be a decent sized deer halfway into the woods and disappeared inot the thicket. I must have been only 10 feet from it.

I've had to wait on a single deer on several different fairways of Knobley Mt. over the last month. I've been as close as 15' on a couple occasions and it doesn't run until it sees me. I even hit a tree within 20' of it once and it didn't even budge. I think that it's deaf.
