I'm making more than 50% of my 30' putts now[I'd tell you why, but most would try to shout me down because they wouldn't believe it]---I'm not missing anything from 20' under. So that my 360' max drives aren't sticking me with only pars. Putting is where its at---just ask Tiger or Lefty.

Perhaps not, but when you walk up to a 350' hole and can only get there with a distance driver and the guy who can throw 500' can reach it with any disc in his bag, he's got an advantage with all those options. Sure, just being able to throw 500' rarely gains you many strokes, but in subtle ways it gives you other big advantages.

You need to play more courses. My home course has a minimum of 5 holes over 350' and up to 9 depending on the pin positions. On top of that 350' of power isn't enough to reach some of the holes that are shorter because of the line you have to throw.

Or, better, analyze their game.

You clearly didn't play the KCWO...between swope gold and Blue Valley Long alone there were 20 holes over 500ft...some...much much over ...

Did you guys see the Youtube video of Double G getting a 3 on an 1100 foot hole. His putt was probably from 40 and then almost does it again on the next hole

See from 1:37

Throwing over 375 has its perks.

If there is an example of a player Climo's age, who has a near equal rating, and tours all over the country like the top guys, I'd like to hear about him.

I think it's probably because he just doesn't want to tour now. He's got other stuff to do now besides tour all the time. I think older guys could hang with the younger guys, you just don't see many that want to. A few years ago there was a 50 year old driver on the nascar circuit. He had been racing full time since the 80s, finally went part time a couple years back. He finished in points second at age 50, and you'll have a hard time convincing me that the PDGA is more grueling than nascar.

Nice bump. Nothing like a little distance discussion to end the year.
