If I take just few discs with me they are:

Zero Pure(putts)
Opto Pure(bad for putting, great for everything else)
a new Roc(fading upshots/300' drives)
S/C Teebird(for long, fading drives)
Star Wraith(really beat, turnovers, hyzerflips)

So 5, depends. On shorter courses I may just take pure/jokeri-combo with me.

This would be enough for me: Judge and Pain. Sure if you have holes that are 500+ feet you could argue about a driver - but the Pain goes 250 without bigger trouble - so you could be in the basket in 3 strokes. The Judge is good enough for some understable shots needed and a very nice approach disc.

Our league did a two-disc bag-tag match.
It was a blast.
I used a 171 ESP Comet and a 171 Champ FB. Did OK with that combo.

When you have a shoulder surgery that limits motion, you get back to me on that comment.

The less power you have, the more true my comment is. If you're only throwing 150ft (especially if you have limited motion) a mid is faaaar too fast of a disc. Slower discs are much easier to throw accurately, especially under limited power.

When I traveled down to KY for work a month ago I played 2 courses and did just fine with my beat in Elite X Buzzz. Made me rethink this whole "bag of discs" thing I've had going on since I got back into it this year (we played one disc rounds all the time in high school at smaller 9 hole courses).

Of course somewhere like BRP or Lakewood would require more disc options but from now on anywhere I travel I'm just throwing a Buzzz in the bag unless the trip is specifically for disc golf.

I could probably play with just my Saint,River,Trident,Comet and Voodoo and do just fine.

That would be a good idea to do sometime. Instead of carrying 29 discs I could carry. 5 lol

I could easily get by with a Star Orc, Z Comet, and Grip Spike.
