Thanks. Its hard work. I walk 7 days a week, and I try to play disc golf at least 3 times a week, and work out 3-4 days a week, and watch everything I eat. The hardest thing was giving up regular Dr Pepper.

Good for you Midnight! Losing that kinda weight generally makes everything work better. You're not as winded after uphill walks, have more "usable" strength, generally better endurance, and I can't begin to imagine how much excess wear and tear it helps avoid on your knees, and other joints.

Hard to say exactly what helped your distance out, but I'll venture a guess. Could be that being in better shape, perhaps you don't have to try as hard, allowing you to throw with better,, more consistent technique. Not that your technique would necessarily be bad to begin with, just saying that sometimes my nicest drives come when I'm not necessarily trying so hard or reaching back really far (i.e. smooth is far). You may just might not be "working" as hard after shedding that 50 lbs.

Could also be a "Look good, feel good. Feel good, play good" type of thing going on, too.

This thread reminds me I need to make an active effort to shed a good 20 lbs or so.

I imagine you will also find that you can play longer with less fatigue than you could before you lost the weight.
Not to mention if you were working out to lose that weight you strengthened and conditioned your muscles as well.

I have noticed one thing for sure. The women are flirting with me a lot, everywhere I go. I have a regular delivery every week to this high end restaurant, and the good looking blond that signs my paper work, has done just about everything, but come right out, and ask me out. I am married, but if I was single, it would be on. I also had to order new uniforms, because mine are now 3 sizes too big.
