I have a blanket, sort of a quilt if you will, that has pockets for all my discs to fit in individually. The night before a tournament, I put all my discs in the blanket and sleep with them. No wait, that happened in a dream. And in that dream, I was pretty creepy!

All of the first three. Spin on finger, a put out of turn from is a miss, and under no circumstance utter the "W" word!

I have a habit of spinning my disc on my finger while I wait to tee. If I bobble the disc and it hits the ground prior to my teeing off, I usually follow it up with a poor tee shot.

I have been trying to break being superstitious for years. My father is superstitious and I think I got it from him. When playing sanctioned tournaments I only carry an even # of discs (14, 16 or 18) and always carry 3 Rocs in that lineup. I have a friend who only carries an odd # of discs.

My main superstition on the course is if someone says "Nice!" or "Nice Shot/Throw!".... it's going to hit a tree. Even if we are throwing at a basket in the middle of a wide open field, odds are that a tree will sprout up like a magic bean stalk and block the disc.

I "jokingly" tell my buddies to stop saying "Nice" because we play friendly casual rounds... but I give them the ol' stink eye on top of it so they know it's super cereal.

Losing a disc must be problematic. I suppose you should try to lose another on the next hole, to set things straight. Which can be pretty hard on some courses. You could, I guess, just give one away...unless you're playing with that particular friend, of course.

I'm not superstitious. I am slightly OCD though (and most of you are too). All of my discs have to go back in the same spot every time. I also have them organized from most understable to most overstable, Distance Drivers, then Fairways, then Mids, then Putters.

I have a usual way I do things, but I wouldn't call them superstitions. Call them habits maybe. Using the same little processes all the time seems to help me play more consistently. When I play more consistently, I seem to be happier with my game.

Instructors in a lot of sports emphasize developing a pre-shot routine. It seems to be very valuable in disc golf too.

But I don't have a lucky shirt or a meal I have to eat or a song that's necessary to hear before I play or anything. If it works for you, have fun with it but that stuff ain't real.
