That's an interesting point on the winds, and the groups that played shorts both rounds.

On the other hand, it would be odd that the longs played 7 strokes harder this year, but the shorts only 1. That would imply that the distance between the long and short tees was 6 strokes more than it was last year.

In a couple of days, you may be proved right.

The women's rec division going out early and shooting scores in the 100's didn't help the pace either. They should consider a shorter set of tees for this group. There was a huge gap between them and the group ahead so maybe they should be the last card to go out to help prevent the back up. I did feel that this years layout was a bit tougher and slightly better. But it's like a 4.7 rating bumped up to 4.8.

At a very quick glance it looks like the scores from yesterday, and last year's pro scores, were very similar. Not sure if I'm looking at it right, or what meaning to take from it.

Funnnn weekend. Playing, caddying, keeping the course clean, throwing down mountains, off cliffs, from ravines, into cow pastures, from cow patties, into and out of saw grass, on the second card, on the lead card and for the win!

I played morning rounds and then caddied for Elaine King until DARK Friday and Saturday. The women endured tough conditions to finish or attempt to finish their rounds after the sun set. I knew they'd be battling daylight so I went out to caddy and spot where I could speed things along. All in all, the course played well, not all the people were playing "speed of play golf", especially Friday, but they and the staff got things better for Saturday.

It's hard to run a tournament on this course, where you have two huge holes sharing the valley, and a limited staff. At times the intersection of 9 and 18 were hectic, at other times it flowed. But You gotta expect that when you want to play the best holes.

Had a lot of fun. Gonna come back to make it 3 time Masters Champ next year!

Any idea how long hole 11 to 13 was? I smashed my drives and had a sub-200 foot approach to make a 5 foot drop in 4. Felt Grrrrreat! Laymon also took a 4 playing the left side of hole 12 green. He played some solid golf in the finals! It was a battle!

I think the different 18 made a huge difference in time. I hope they go back to the location last year, it was harder this year, that was cool... but also took a lot of time to play and you couldnt watch your disc fly and that was always fun. I preferred last years Am layout over the pro layout but all the layouts are awesome and I look forward to playing again.
