Help with handicapping

I play with some friends of differing skill levels but would like to be able to compete when we are able to play together. We only occasionally play the same courses at the same time. I am often travelling and playing courses they can't.

Are there any apps that can help automatically create a handicap between us? I assume it will only work from scores on the same course. I use GoDiscin currently. I love that it shows me all courses around me when i open it up, navigates me to them, and then opens the scorecard. Maybe it has more functions I'm not aware of.

I heard that there is a PDGA app that estimates round ratings. I'm somewhat incredulous that this is possible given differing seasons and weather conditions but I'm curious to hear some reviews. I assume it's based on past tournament scores from the given course?

Is there a way to convert the difference in rating number into strokes per hole? If not I suppose an equation could be created after we obtained some data.

Thanks Chuck I will try it out.

I did try the PDGA app now. It says I shot a 950 rated round (-1) at Huntington Beach DGC yesterday. That is definitely too high!
