Hole of the Day: 6-17-2010

My "home" course! I just played this course on Monday. Allow me to start by saying, it really depends on the time of year you're playing this course, right now the trees are more grown in and there are some vines hanging in places they weren't before.

The picture really doesn't do the hole justice..Also I think Timg took these photos during the grand opening or whatever they call it and things have been moved around a little bit since. If I had to play the hole exactly the way it looks in the picture I'm throwing a meteor to the left of the leafy tree.

I believe the tee...nubs? pods? caps? are over to the lift a bit more and a bit straighter so the line is shaped more like: "r" than "("

I parked this hole with a wizard on a tomahawk during my last round, and before that I threw a stratus straight and high and it hit a tree about 30' feet from the basket, had no shot laid up for the 3.

166 is a short hole but those trees make up for it with difficulty added. The teepad is a little out of line, or so it seems from the picture. Anyways, I throw RHBH so I think that I would try to lean out a bit, throw a stand still shot, extending my right arm enough so I could throw around that tree just to the right and perhaps get a somewhat straight line approach to the basket with my Voodoo of course.

Looks like some sort of Voodoo shot for me. But the pic makes the tee box look very out of line. It seems as if you could stand all the way to the left on the tee and throw almost straight to the basket, though.

the tee is now more straight and not as wide, when you look down the hole you see 3 gaps, and none of them are too pretty. If you shoot straight up the right side you have a chance of either hitting one of like 7 trees or sliding up about 12' short of the basket.

Some sort of FH hyzer for me. Not sure what though. It could be my Ion, Buzzz, C-PD, or XXX depending on what it looks like from the tee. If its a little left that could make a big difference in what I throw. From where the tee is in the picture I'd have to go with the Ion or C-PD, I think.

Either my FLX Challenger or my Star Coyote. I would have to play the hole a few times to be sure. Both thrown on a strong anny shot RHBH.

Right of the leafy tree and left of the double tree with an anhyzer DX Roc shot. Hopefully I can get lucky and maybe punch through the double tree and have the Roc flatten out and glide in towards the basket.
