alabama travelling

i will be in the birmingham, alabama area monday evening, the 23rd of march, maybe tuesday morning and am going to try to play Civitan park or the George Ward park. does anyone have time to show me one of those courses? or is there perhaps a league meet in the area someone can tell me about?
i do have the #2 travel tag i would like to pass on to someone, here is a perfect opportunity to get this tag down the road!
unfortunately this is a business trip so monday after work, or tuesday morning before my flight is the only time i have to play. thanks in advance for any info on this subject.
martinb.

thanks

thanks for the info. i wanted to give people here a chance to get that travel tag from me first. i should have posted this on the dgcr travel tag thread instead. no matter what im looking forward to playing a better rated course or two.
what i find interesting is that in the metro atlanta area there doesnt seem to be any well developed disc golf courses? i could only find a couple of nine hole courses on campuses...i think you have to go north a ways before you get to any good courses it looks like.

Depends on how you define Metro Atlanta. Go East, Redan has a 4-star rating, and I'm sure people in that area consider themselves in Metro Atlanta.

atlanta

yes, i started searching on the pdga website for courses in the atlanta area and it looks like there are several within driving distance of the airport that arent too far. the east roswell course isnt too far north, and its having an NT event this next weekend? so it must be a pretty good course to play.
hope i get a chance to stop by there next week.
