Hm, bittersweet. I feel like I'm locked in with my Comet/Roc combo so I don't really want to change that up. I'll end up testing, so we'll see if I love it as much as I love the Ion.

Can't wait to throw the Vector, no matter what it ends up being (Buzzz/Core clone, longer Ion, etc.). I'm really interested to see how the outer rubber stands up to the damage I typically subject my mid-range drivers to.

Ions are definitely the goods...definitely gonna try a Vector, Victor

I'm just wondering which mid will win out if this ends up head to head w similarly described LAT 64 overstable mid...

Lat's has been in the works for a long time...in fact they said it would get released a couple months ago. Then it went on the back burner and out popped the Flow instead

Duh, the Flow is their new slightly overstable midrange.

I asked them directly and they said the 'mid' was not a smokescreen for the Flow. it is real but has been delayed...

my guess is they are making changes after testing prototypes

Anyone else notice the slighly more overstable than a Buzzz trend? Last working on one, the Vector might be, and the Hornet, well; I guess its slightly more overstable than a Wasp but maybe the same concept.

Are they seeing a gap in going from Roc/Wasp to Drone?

I don't think it is going to be an overstable disc at all. I think it will be a disc that you can throw flat and relatively hard and get a long and straight flight that does not turnover with a late fade (at least this is what I hope). I imagine that new and heavier Vectors will have some fade on lower speed shots, but who knows.

Another thing I find interesting is that this mid (at least the one they sent in to get tested by the PDGA) is taller than the Ion by a couple of millimeters. It's the same height as the Buzzz SS, Comet, and Mako.

I'm also guessing that the wing is an L type or maybe even slighly convex like the Mako/MD2 in order to allow room for the undermold to lock into the overmold.
