New Orleans,LA courses /stores?

i will be passing through New Orleans jan. 1st-4th and am looking to play some golf. i was just wondering if anyone has played courses in that area or know where i can find some discs? i would greatly appreciate any info .

Are you serious? There are only 2 courses and one is virtually brand new. The next closest course is like 45 miles away. Pick one of the two or play them both. I do not have any idea of where you might be able to buy some discs however.

Yeah I am pretty serious . Ive never played in that area and was looking for info from some locals. I know how use the course finder but I also realize there are about 4 courses within 50 miles of where I live that are not listed on the course directory . So I didn't want to miss out on any courses that might not be listed

I played the one in Metarie back in November. It was ok. Pretty much wide open and flat though. It was really hard to find my way around on a few of the holes too. But on the other hand it was nice to get to play a round while I was away from home for work. Baton Rouge has a lot more courses to choose from though.

Yeah I'm from Arkansas and am going for the sugar bowl . Woooo pig soooie . I plan to play both courses that are listed . It looks like the weather will be good for some golf . If there any locals that would like to play a round I'd love to just PM me

Ok, now that that's out of my system - Check out City Park, it's a brand new course that's supposed to be tougher. I haven't gotten a chance to play it yet. You can try Lafreniere in Metarie but it's not that great of a course, and it's always crowded by non disc golfers so you'll end up skipping a bunch of the holes. Plus the christmas decorations in the park block a good 4-5 of them anyway.

You'll do better playing courses on your way down. I'm not sure how you're coming but if your trip takes you by Monroe check out Lazarre Park. If you come near Baton Rouge Highland Road Park isn't bad (just played it and Flanacher yesterday with GoodDriveBadPutt). If you make it up to Baton Rouge let me know I'll try to sync schedules and show you those 2 courses.

God I love that city. Never played any disc golf while down there but have been to just about everything down there!! Have fun, and keep it on the sidewalk!
