It becomes frustrating to me when people with some good talent want to take it upon themselves to practice and attempt to fix their problems. All they end up doing is practicing their flaws over and over until it becomes a bad habit.
I know that's true for me. My game has been on a consistent slope downward since 1994. A couple of years ago I was playing a round of doubles with my oldest son. Sarah Stanhope and her boyfriend Aaron were are competition. I was continuing to coach my sons through the round...toward the end Sarah comments something along the line that if I could only play as well as I was teaching my son. Kind of a compliment and a insult all rolled into one.

I would never dream of giving advice to anyone other than my kids...mostly because my ratings suck and I am no where as good as I once was...and that was 15+ years ago in a completely different region than I live in now.

So this comment got a response from Sarah. I just wanted to say that I've known her for several years and consider her a friend...she's been very help with helping me promote tournaments and has bought several CFR discs from me over the year.

Thanks to Sarah for being helpful over the years to all the young and upcoming disc golfers in the Southeast region.

Playing with someone better is always a good bet. They see lines and offer up tips that you would never think about. I played five rounds with someone new last weekend...by the end of the second day he said he could see drastic improvement in my form, shot selection, and comfort level off the tee. He taught me a new shot...just something only a more experienced and better player can offer you.

If you are concerned about throwing farther...throw with the wind at your back. Just BSing.

Play rounds with 2 discs, putter and disc of choice. Mix it up between fairways, drivers, and mids. Play a round only driving and approaching forehand, then play a round BH.
