Those are terrible. I hope you get your money back. Either way, thanks for the heads up. This guy's never getting any of my money.

This is the reason that though I love doing dyes for people - I'm very reluctant to charge anybody anything.
Here's a couple thoughts: - The people sticking up for him and defending him because he has done good work in the past need to stop. It doesn't matter and it's clouding the issue. The issue is 2 badly done dye jobs for WHATEVER reason. If I don't kill the first 5,000 people I meet in my life, then kill the 5,001st would you stand up in the courtroom for me and say "but he has been good in the past!"? ...Only if you can't be objective about the case...which is why those people shouldn't speak up or at least admit their bias. - Once you make money doing a task, you are a professional by definition. If you take commission on dyes, you are a professional dyer and you should be treated as such. If your dyes don't live up to quality, you'd best have a contingency plan in place and communicate that to the client ahead of time (else this happens). If you can't handle that, don't try to profit off of it. Translate this experience into any of our professional settings - it 99.9% of the time ends up in our termination if we're in NoThingness's shoes. Why should this be an exception? As a final note - I do not know either party, and have no ill will towards either of them. I hope for civility's sake that it gets worked out privately, but since it was brought into a more public arena I tried to offer objective viewpoints - take them or leave them.

The dyer picked the wrong type of image to dye. These were not the right dye jobs for this particular dyer and he has agreed to give back the $30 and has publicly apologized to they buyer and the dyers guild.

I’m late to this game, but I think that after everything that has been done and said, a refund and apology was the type of thing that a class act guild dyer should do. Having been down this road myself I know that it bites to have to refund but that’s the type of qualities you should except from a pro.

It's a shame you couldn't just work out a $30 problem over a cheeseburger. Why am I reading all this nonsense? Shame on me for reading this gossip thread...

Shame on me for being the cause of this gossip thread. I hate to be the one called out but here I hope we all have learned the lesson at my expense
