This isn't "in the news" but you wouldn't believe how many times I heard the words "disc golf course review" this weekend at my tournament.

That might not seem like a big deal but remember it was a women's tourney and I heard at least half a dozen women talking about DGCR.

There was a book about disc golf at book shop in Brockport that had addresses for DGR and DGCR in the back.

At every tournament I've played this year, at least one person on my card has at least used the site to find courses even if they're not an active forum user. All those schlubs still using the PDGA directory get an earful from me about how awesome this site is.

We were discussing it pretty good this weekend at my tournament . I tried to name drop and tell them how successful I have been getting good prices on disc via the marketplace. Hopefully a few of them come check out the site .

That was one of the nicest intro pieces on disc golf I've ever seen. They got through all the basics and without the typical egregious errors one usually sees describing disc golf: i.e. holes are 300-400 yards long, discs cost $50 each, Pros make $100,000 a year, are just a few of the outlandish statements I've seen in the past.

The only thing that bothered me was the hole where Mcluen gives the instruction - gotta love how walking paths run the entire right side, and a playground sits on the left, where all the bad shots from right-handed novice & recreational players will end up. For a Forest City course that otherwise looks really, really nice, this is an unacceptable safety hazard and very poor course design, imo.

On that video, from 1:15 to 1:21, he actually aced that hole, but camera was facing him instead!! (i read this over on IowaDG on a forum somewhere).

If you listen, you can hear him say "That's got a chance" then the crowd erupts.
