I just chatted with Chad for a bit...as long as I could keep him away from throwing his Axis some more! Sounds like a slightly seasoned Buzzz with more glide, or a pretty much a faster/longer version of the older/straighter flying Ions. He said it may be the easiest disc to throw he's ever gotten his hands on. I think this one is going to be hugely popular! Another breakthrough for MVP! I may have to go and have a coma induced until mine comes in the mail, otherwise I may expire with anticipation...

I also am a huge fan of the Vector and will surely be getting one if these.

Not any stores near me. I will be ordering one online with an Ion to compliment the Vector I just bought and love.

Gotta' see a profile pic of the Axis.

Forgive me if this has already been discussed, but does the Axis have a bead? Deep rim or shallow? Domey or flat?

Thanks

Discspeed said it would have a small but visible bead, too small to really be felt in the hand.

There isn't technically a defined bead, there's only where the overmold transitions into the core. So the color change makes it look like theres a micro-bead, but you cant really feel it. With the smooth rim and average rim depth, this is a very comfortable and easy disc to throw smoothly. They are all closer to flat with a very small shoulder.

I guess it kind of blurs the definition of a bead.
