We're staying at the Roosevelt, and aren't planning to rent a car so if have to be able to take a cab to the course.
No worries. I'm looking to keep Sunday free myself for Father's Day, so hopefully the weather's good on Friday or Saturday.

I'm sorry to say that there are no can't miss courses in NOLA. City Park is readily accessible by the trolley, though, especially since you're staying at the Roosevelt. The park is at the very end of the red train that runs on Canal, and is worth seeing anyway, so you could take a stable mid and a putter with you and pop down there for an hour or two. It's playable with few discs, as long as you have something that can handle wind.

You'll love New Orleans; it's an amazing city. And the weather is great in October. I gave a thorough run down of food places to hit here, but will add that you NEED to take advantage of Domenica, the John Besh restaurant in the Roosevelt. It's amazing pizza and Italian food, and pizza, beer, and wine are half off from 3-6 seven days a week. Seriously: eat there. And eat there again.

Feel free to hit me up with a PM if you have any further questions. I always love talking up my city!

I played Oak Ledges (Lincoln Park) last night and the basket has been replaced.

Ahh must have just missed it. I played there a few weeks ago and it was still absent. Glad they finally rectified that! It was a nice hole, too...
