I think for someone that's just starting out to sell that the $6 quote is realistic. Chances are he doesn't have any bubble mailers he can re-use, so if you calculate about $2 for a bubble mailer, another $3 for first class mail and add tracking you get close to $6 as it is. At that point a flat rate priority mailer makes sense.
