I 100% use heavier plastic (160-175) for head winds, etc. My goto weights for no wind or tail winds however is 135-145. It's fun to be able to throw 300+ and at least be competitive with the younger bombers. Sure..their throws are low and fast, mine a little higher and take longer to get there, but distance is distance! lol..

He also threw it about 100' in the air. I'm guessing that's why he prefers light discs. I'm of the opinion that heavier discs fly further when released at similar speed, height, etc. Momentum vs wind resistance

I'm not a physics expert either.

Light discs will sail in tailwind further.

Last week I was playing random dubs and my partner was saying Blizzard is for chicks and kids. I pulled out a Blizzard Boss and a 150 Banger and I said, "You calling me a chick?". He said, "No sir, I would not offend a man of your size!"

I had a good run with blizzard disc but I found that there are just too many variables with them. Finding decent backups was frustrating, bubble in plates, bubble in rims, weird runs, etc. I'm good with me ol' swords.
