Fairbanks, AK

I just recently moved to the Fairbanks area from TN. I know of two courses in the area. Birch Hills and the one at the University. I have yet to play any of these, but if anyone is from the area and the weather is nice, I would love to get a couple rounds in before the weather hits -30 and the snow reaches my armpits.

Pussy. Be a man. Fairbanks locals play to at least -40 when the discs start breaking when they hit the chains.

So I have heard... but at those temps there would be too man layers on to even consider having any type of form or success. Would be neat to see a disc shatter like glass.

Go to the "members" tab at the top of the page and click on "members near me" from the drop-down menu and see who is close and maybe send them a PM. Good luck to you.

I've seen discs shatter like glass at about -25 below. I am not from fairbanks but I have had friends who have played Birchhill and say its awesome!

try hitting up http://www.dgcoursereview.com/forums/member.php?u=23445 (northern disc) i forget his name but he lives in fbx i believe and maybe could hook you up with some of the locals there.

if you get down to anchorage or come through wasilla hit me up for a couple rounds tho.

Thanks, I will deff try and get a round up in the spring. My fiancee's brother lives in Anchorage, so we will be visiting from time to time. I'm hoping to get a round or two in at Birchhill before the course becomes ski trails.

I guess someone has to, otherwise Texas would be a vast, UNINHABITED wasteland.
