My first review from last year mentioned 4.75 but I decided to give a 5 this time mostly due to the
aesthetics, Burchfield is simply beautiful. There are no tight tee shots but I'm tired of hitting trees from the tee shot in all my years of playing. Although it is mostly flat, elevation can be found on #1, a couple of sunken baskets on the front and 11 -16 with the long pins. Shot shaping will become more important in the years to come as the small to mid size trees grow up.

Since I'm not a local I was unaware of either name Devil's Den or Renegades Trail, RT makes makes more sense to me.

Having a second quality course in the same park helps make Burchfield a destination course.

I have no idea what you mean by this. Are you referring to my allergies?

Im a Local here and Renegades Trail (AKA Devil's Den) is a really nice course since they have so many variations. Short to short is great for beginners, short to long is tough to make par even for a 940 rated player. Long to Long I wont even touch, unless you can throw 400+ft I don't see how it would be fun. Sometimes what my friends and I will do is always throw from the short pad, but flip for the long or short basket. River's Edge IMO is much better for teaching disc golf. They have tight fairways off the tee, elevation, a huge bomber down the toboggan run. They have holes that force forehands, par 4's that if you get a 4 you are happy and some nice birdy holes if you can throw 260-350 on a tight line. Also it has 18 great cement pads now. The bugs are gone and discing is prime right now. Fitzgerald, Grandwoods, Burchfield, even MSU has something to offer. And don't forget Sleepy hollow is just outside of town. We got a good group of players out here too with the CCR. It truly is a good scene.
