Or by announcing his plans in advance.

We put the provision for an unwon ace pool on the signup sheet, so everyone has the chance to read it before signing up.

I haven't considered tie-breakers, but will include that in the future. I don't know which way I'll go on it, as I don't see it as a big deal, either way.

I've never even heard of paying someone on your card for seeing them ace a hole until on DGCR. Someone would get laughed at around here if they made an ace then asked people to pay up. We've always figured, you get money if you're in an ace pool. If not, no money.

I think I saw one person on here say something about paying a dollar for hitting chains/basket off the tee. That seems insane to me, but probably because we have alot of holes around the 200 ft range. Basket hits off the teepad aren't that rare here.

51 has been going on a long time. I was introduced to it almost 20 years ago when I hit metal, 2 guys each gave me a dollar, and told me it was like the Mafia; once I was in, I couldn't get out.

In the tournaments I've played, among the players I've played with, no one has ever asked to be paid for an ace, or hitting a basket. It is up to the other players to offer, if they're part of that game. I've seen the throwers decline the money if they don't want to be part of it.

It's just a fun game, a sidebet, a bit of a joke.
