Do whats right for the course, what you think is best and ignore the rest. Im confident Stan feels he has made good and bad design choices, the fact is, that he is one one doing the work, taking the time... everyone else has to deal with it.

His current position on it is, turn off phone get the bag out and play or go fishing.

It's black mesh netting. From the tee it is invisible if you did not know it was there. It's great watching people hit it and get confused.

A few years ago the parks lady that helped with dg at hudson mills metropark moved over to kensington metro park.
With the help of discraft, they turned a decent, 90's style, flattish course into an incredibly elevated 27 hole course with tons of shot elevation.
Especially in an area that has many courses, this was a great addition- the "lefty holes", the champion back nine, and the elevation....

Folks still complain, some even say they hate it....so dont feel bad, you cant please everyone.

I can't even put up a 2x6 wall with treated 4x4 posts with out people trying to destroy it. Plexiglass? Mesh Netting? Have you figured out how to run electricity through it?

sadly, disc golfers are disc golf's worst enemy.

for the love of pete, whatever you do, don't let whiners get to you.
^ This. I just "love" it when guys piss and moan about designs, or all you're trying to do to get DG going in other towns. Then cannot even keep a decent league going at their own course (because they want all the newbs to donate $5 to them every week while they are learning the game), much less keep their City from carving up said course for other uses while they simply drive 30-45 minutes away to play their rounds (letting DG in their own communities suffer).

People hate. People are ###holes. People talk ten-times more than they walk. Let 'em. And do what you've gotta do to make things as good/right as you think you can.
