I've heard that. Also, once you venture out a little farther play Black Falls in VT.

If you're going to do this, take at least a week to explore northern VT. There are a lot of really cool courses there.

I would LOVE to take a week, but I'm guessing I'm mostly going to be limited to sparse day trips, lol

I am so relieved after seeing pictures of the greystone park progress! Looks like it'll be an amazing course! And within 20 minutes! Woot! Whenever I finally get moved there, I'll be out full force to help with any clearing/maintenance/construction

I can't speak for disc golf, but I did get some experience backpacking through New Jersey on the Appalachian Trail last summer. If you're into outdoors, it looks like you'll be within an hour of Worthington State Forest and High Point State Park; great spots for hiking, camping, fishing, biking, boating, etc. I never thought I'd say this, but I really like New Jersey. Best of luck to you, sir!

Yetter Park in East Stroudsburg. Just across the Deleware on I80 will be having Wednesday random dubs when the light returns, and there will likely be a handicap league starting sooner.

^this. I love that area of Nj, New Jersey catches so much flak for being the "armpit" of the United States and so on, but no one understands how many areas of nj are truly gorgeous. Tons of great lakes for largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, and other types of freshwater game species. There's even a bunch of streams that produce beautiful wild brook, brown, and rainbow trout.

But anyhow, when you move in and get settled make the trip down to Tyler State Park, Disc Fiend and I will show you around.

Mahwah is terrific. FOD has improved a lot. Warwick is great. Tyler is in PA and pretty nice too. But there are new courses popping up. Join Skylands disc golf and north jersey disc golf to get to know the locals.

And no need to talk trash about new jersey. It is among the wealthiest, most educated, and culturally diverse states in the United States. We have great food and great people. We are within a few hours of New York City and Philadelphia but we still have beautiful beaches and plenty of parks. Believe me, there are things to do here and people to do them with you.
