I've been in the final day galleries of about half the USDGCs. They're pretty impressive, but I'm not sure if they're proof of what's possible, or evidence of the limitations of disc golf as a spectator sport.

You guys really are missing the point. Are sponsors drolling at 60 people? Of course not.

But they certainly are more likely to be impressed by 60 people that no one. And that's what events with no big names do. Draw no one to them.

Something tells me that just like us, those "spectators" on the sides are just waiting their turn to go next... i.e. they are "players"
