Issue might be PDGA approval - especially approval of leaving some sort of mount on a disc whether the device is approved or not. If you can't use a disc in a tourney, it will really kill sales. I know not everyone plays n tournaments, but to limit your sales to only a segment of the DG community would be bad business plan.

One problem you might run in to with a disc beeper is when your disc lands flat and the beep is muffled. Plus ambient noise.
