check out the review section for that course.

e: also, ElementZ, I'm in the process of trying to get MY government to install one here...on base. They're not answering my emails, of course...but I did drop by and speak to a manager of a new rec center here...he said they were already considering it, but didn't know if there was any interest or if they could fit it into the budget.

By the way, the course designer is "luma" on here and I've already gotten to know him and the other three guys that are always there in Schönwald. Cool people.

Sorry for the double post. My friend Bastian (whom I introduced to disc golf this past summer) is already speaking to the most likely soon-to-be mayor of our small town here. He's already explained the sport to the guy and even got him to plan on playing with us sometime. Bavaria is an amazing place for disc golf (even if we have to make our own baskets/play random objects), so if they can fit it into the city budget, it would be great to have a course within biking distance.

I wonder why Bavaria has so few courses but the area around Hanover has many?

Have you applied for a Marco Polo grant from the PDGA?

Finland has it going on. Must be right around Helsinki I'm guessing. I come from Finnish and part Swedish ancestors. We like our disc golf baby!

It comes down to a few things, the biggest (in my humble opinion) being the following.

I think there's a "prairie fire" effect. The disc golfers in the north can point to courses in the area and be like "Hey look, these courses are very successful, we want one in our neighborhood, too!" whereas in the south the disc golfers are making the "Please, please trust us and make this $15,000 investment on a course for a sport no one knows about" argument. Having gone through the whole experience with the course in Neu-Ulm, I know how tricky it is to get courses installed in south Germany.

Jussi and the rest of Discmania may be a fair factor in that one.

I've loved watching the LCGM8 videos on youtube and have wanted to play some of those courses for years now. My wife wants to visit Europe sometime, but I'm sure she's talking about all of the usual suspects. Somebody help me with more reasons to head to Finland for a vacation some year!!!

Looks like a nice little hotbed in Switzerland, too. That might me more feasible to fit into vacation plans, but I haven't checked out any of the courses there.

Lots of flights land in Amsterdam. That's a good day of playing right there.
