Do most people order these from Marshall St. or DGC?
Yes. The Ion has never wavered in popularity with me. I actually sacrificed my Magics just to roll with the Ions only.

The current runs have a more pronounced bead as the overmold sits higher than the First Runs and a lot of the 2nd run softs that came out after that. On the first runs (red overmold, mid 160s) the bead is nearly flush with the overmold and feels almost identical to a Voodoo.

I don't think they're really any more domey than the other IONs, the overmold just ended up pretty low on the (and not all that straight, 50% of the bead is covered, 50% is barely visible), which makes the dome more pronounced, and makes the disc more understable than other IONs. They feel about the same as the first production run softs, the two second run softs I have feel a bit sturdier.

They are really floaty, and when the bead is cut off/gone way on the understable side, but in a reliable, consistent way. I use them for long jump/spin putts, short turnovers, short and high annys that wont flatten out for sure, and on one hole at my local course I usually throw it with some hyzer, it goes straight for about 200' while climbing out of the hyzer and then finishes right. It is a really fun, touchy disc. =)

Exactly what I mean.

I have two one soft one med and I haven't looked back. Last game, it really came into play well I think i made all putts within 25 feet which was a nice change of pace, to bad my driving was off.

Sub Question, How hard is it to take those stamps off? Anyone try?

I did, on my black Ion. It had a black stamp that I tried to color in with silver... which failed badly... so I took some goof off to it and figured that it was black on black and didn't matter so I wiped it all off.

The ironic thing? The stamp is visible now that it's not there, as the 'scar' left by the stamping process is lighter than the rest of the disc and isn't shiny.

Well, if you like the stamp it's no problem... but I think it would probably mess with dyes big time. I don't think my soft ion's dye would look as good if it wasn't a blank.

Here's a comparison.

Brand new:

Stamp removed:

Before I wiped the stamp, the only way I could see it that clearly was with a flash...
