Teebird love turned into pain

So this morning I drove up to the Phenix pro shop in Denver excited at the prospects of buying a couple new discs. I am leaving tomorrow for a road trip south to Albuquerque and have big plans for playing courses in CO Springs, Pueblo, and Santa Fe on the way down. Needless to say I was giddy as I payed for my new 175 Star Teebird among other purchases.

I stopped at the local soccer fields before I got home to chuck my new plastic. First throw, brilliant and straight with a good fade at the end. Second throw put a little anhyzer on it and it cruised before flexing out and finishing softly across the field. Third throw I crushed out to about 325' and the Teebird glanced off the one and only bench in the park. I walk up to find a chunk sticking off the underside of the rim about 1/2 inch long and from the outer rim to the inside lip.

Love the feel of the disc however I am worried about the chunk turning my lovely stable Teebird into an Eagle or TL. Oh well should have known better than to fall in love with new plastic so soon.

geeze don't you just hate it when that happens? I have a star xcaliber that was a super awesome disc that I could basically get to do whatever I wanted. Then I played this wooded course and tried to throw it hard on a long hole, it hit a tree and took an inch long gash out of the rim. Now it flips a lot easier so I had to change discs. This is why I like champ way more than star.

If you send Innova a picture and tell them that story they might send you a new one.

Star plastic shouldn't be taking that kind of damage after one hit.

Isn't an eagle more stable than a teebird? Just saying, man.

An eagle L is definitely more understable than a teebird, I haven't thrown the x mold so I don't know about that.

I've never been able to damage Star plastic like that, no matter what I hit. Was it a metal bench with raw edges sticking out?

I've done that to a champion Orc on it's second round of it's virgin flight! The Rocks are rough in Reno, Nv at the Ranch. I was heart broke. The rock is tough on all plastic there.
