Not counting the stuff in Portland... Heading South...
-Adair Park near Corvalis is cool. Pretty famous in Oregon as being dope. I thought it was alright... I played a round there by myself in the rain... it was rough. But worth it. (It's a good 20+ minute jaunt from I-5 though).
-Whistler's Bend in Roseburg is the only REAL MUST PLAY along the route. (It's a good 20 minute detour from the I-5). And there is another pretty decent (much smaller) 18 holer in Roseburg that I thought was pretty fun.
-Tom Pearce in Grants Pass was pretty cool. There were some unique features there. And it's practically on the I-5.

Note: if this was my road trip (and I had time) I would break off the I-5 HERE and take the long detour through Humboldt and the California Coast. If you decide to go this way hit me up and I can hook you up with more info.

IN SAC:
- OrangeVale, Auburn, Grass Valley, Penn Valley, Stocton... Lots of good stuff here.

Other MUST hits along this drive would be the Eugene Brewing Company (doubles as a Roque Brewery too) (Black IPA), Steelhead Brewery in Eugene (RyePA), Weed Brewery in Weed CA (Shastafarian Porter), Sierra Nevada Brewery in Chico, and Sacrement Brewing in Sac (get the Red Horse Ale).

This is going to be a fun trip... have fun!

All the sweet courses around Portland, of course. Between Portland and Salem, I'd drive west for 10 miles to Newberg to play Erwin Young and as long as your there, play Herbert Hoover. I especially enjoyed Erwin Young.

The other that I've heard many good things about is Dexter, near Eugene and about 10 miles off the freeway.

And I agree about Adair. I enjoyed that course and of course, Whister's Bend is the big attraction along this route.

This is a great route for a disc trip.

The Redwood Curtain in Arcata CA is a must play, it's a totally unique experience playing through the giant redwoods.

If I had to choose between playing Adair (outside of Corvallis) and Dexter (outside of Eugene), I'd pick Dexter hand's down. It has way more elevation changes and many more quality unique holes and pin placements... Only problem with it is it's usually busy, especially during the school year...be prepared to wait a while to throw, but trust me, the course is worth it!

Also, Whistler's Bend is truely a must play. Bring a map though because the layout get's confusing around 12-14.. You don't want to miss the "top of the world" hole. I did the first time I played there and was uber bummed!

Looks like it was a successful road trip. Did you hit up any of the Breweries?
