I was the one walking up on the rattler that Moon was talking about. The bad part was I didn't even see him, just heard the noise and jumped back. I was less than 5 feet away when he saw me, and rattled at me. Park ranger said alot of times they will not even warn you.

We see two water moccasins in and near this creek almost everytime we play. Well everytime someone throws their disc in the area.
I also saw a deer about 6ft from in the brush and his backside was all f__ked up! It was all tormn up and bloody. He ran about 30 ft away and stopped, still in the brush and then I took another look at him and figured I best leave him to hopefully heal. Weve also came up on a few dead raccoons on the course. I also stepped on a rat snake on 1 fairway! This course is a blast! |

A couple of weeks ago in a tournament at Snow Farm (TX) I was going to throw my second shot on #17 (lake) and as I looked down my foot happened to fall inches from a the head of a 3ft. copperhead. I may be exaggerating on the size and normally dont have a problem with snakes, but when a poisonous one is inches away from your bare ankle and he sees you first... needless to say, i yelped and jumped about 5ft vertically.
but with the surge of adrenaline, i hit the pin on my second shot (would have been about an 80 ft birdie) |

during the summer at lake lewisville park here in tx, the park gets "infested" with lizards... horny toads and whatnot. they don't get in the way and they're actually kinda cool... you're pretty much guaranteed to see one on every fairway.

This past Saturday we almost got eaten alive. We made our random bimonthley trip to Harry Meyers park in Rockwall, Tx. Middle of the day, middle of the course, and middle of hole 9. The hole is fairly dense with low and high shrubbage. Tough to see through, tougher to find your frisbee. We manage to get to the eleveated green and my buddy spots it. A FREAKIN MOUNTAIN LION! Damm dudes this thing was real. Solid tan coat, long tail, cat face, quick and low to the ground, big like a labrador. My buddy looks back and it runs across the fairway from one thicket to another. Of course i putt in and take off to get another look. I only got to see it for about 20 foot as it disappeared. No luck. We play on.

Does a drugged up teenager who fell down having a seizure near me count as a critter? What about the paramedics I called for him? Or the cops that the paramedic called to restrain him?

Seen a guy kill a squirrel w/ a disc one day. just ran right into the path of it and snapped it's neck.
There is also a mother goose on the Mathew's Park course that will fly at you. Seen deer, fox, rabbits, racoons, possums, etc. on many of the courses I've played in GA.

That's the biggest Golden Orb Weaver I've ever seen. Been looking for one that size for years. Did you keep it as a pet? They don't get that big in Socal
