The soft Anodes just seem like better short discs to me...I'd rather play catch with a soft...with a person or the basket. I like how I can pinch into the plastic on my grip as it helps me get spin on the disc.

In a slight tailwind today my Volts were passing the 400' fairly easily.

I've settled into my new midrange setup after vigorous testing of many new N mids...Also, PDs are totally back, not sure what I was thinking...They pair great with the Volt. Also, all my Volts are so similar I'm only bagging one--my light pink 175 because it holds a turn slightly longer than the others. The GL Villain wasn't overstable/predictable enough to be a wind disc or replace the PD in any way...Much different from the Opto, which I'm still loving.

I'm really curious about two things.
How are your swords now that they are seasoned? I have a stockpile of tps between 167-171 and I love them but they are mostly in the 7.5-9/10 area. Are yours truly flippy when they break in? Also, what's up with the villian! I don't think I've heard anyone else even mention one since they were released....how do you like it?

) before it got really understable, but it had developed some turn. I haven't had much experience with the TPs because I only like domey Swords and there were very few domey ones that came through Clearwater...and they were all black. I still have one black one, but it's pretty new. My VIPs have seasoned pretty well. My original flies very straight from a slight hyzer now and it started out fairly overstable under 400'.The Villain has a very similar shape as the Sword, but the wing is upturned at just a bit more angle to make it considerably more overstable...It's almost like a Sword-X. The Optos are fast and overstable, and the GLs are only slightly more stable than a Sword. I use the Optos and I find them to be a great all around overstable disc. They have enough speed to fly on hyzers through the wind or get good distance into a strong headwind, yet are overstable enough to work for shorter utility shots and spikes. It's the only driver more overstable than the PD that I carry.

I just put an eclipse Ion back in my bag as it's by far my most overstable putter and it has been windy lately.

It's been a while...
173 Eclipse Soft Anode--the disc I throw at the basket 173 Proton Soft Anode--seasoned straight for putter drives 173 Neutron Anode--fast and stable for winds and shots that fade. 17? Neutron Tangent (not sure which Tangent I'm going to stick with) 176 Neutron Axis--straight shots and hyzers 174 Neutron Vector--holds any line for about 75% of the flight then fades hard 177 Proton Vector--extremely HSS with very predictable LSS...best mid in open and wind Amps/Volts/Shocks--I have the entire range of stabilities in my collection of MVP's drivers, but I'm still working out which combination is best/most versatile for me 169 VIP Sword--Max D 175 VIP Sword--control D 174 VIP Giant (brand new)--overstable D

No ION?!
lol.. you really notice the N. Anodes to be that much more stable? Haven't had a lot of time to mess with both only had proton until a few weeks back.. Jealous of all the MVP options! Just wish they had a distance driver.. I dropped swords for strikers this winter and played around with the lace but OS one should be better' Would you like to see an OS MVP high speed driver?
