Oxbow Falls Park?

I am a Californian (Unfamiliar with foul weather) and I'm heading out to NY on Thursday. I was wondering if I'm ridiculous for thinking I can brave 9 holes at Oxbow Falls in the snow? Will the baskets still be up, what should I expect. Can any locals or veterans give me some advice? Thanks.

Well, you should expect bone chilling weather to the tune of 4°F. I think that might be too cold even for us New Yorkers It does look like it's open year round so the baskets will be there.

I figure if it's only for 9 holes, I can't pass up the oppurtunity to hit up a new course. I used to live upstate, but I didn't play back then. I guess I really have no idea what I'm in for! It'll be interesting to throw with gloves on! I'll see how hardcore I really am?

No issues with Champ, Star, or FLX when I was playing in -6°F back in Ohio last month.

I Did It!

I can't beleive I was out there in 10°F. The snowboarders were looking at me weird. I was only able to finish 6 holes, but I can't wait to play when I can feel my feet. I guess I can call myself a die hard. See pictures in my profile page.

nice pics. well done. When properly bundled, I think temps down around zero are fine -- but it really helps to be playing with friends. and handwarmers. handwarmers are your best friends when it's anywhere below 40 in my opinion.
