Long Walk vs Filler holes

I have heard many people say a long walk between holes is a con and others say that a boring filler hole is a con....I wonder if the glass is always half full. I agree all long walks should be marked well though. What do you guys think and give some examples...Little Lehigh in PA lost 2 epic holes cause they were out of the way..but damn one was a 800+ blast down a huge sound of music hillside and the other was a really long 600+ drive along the river...2 great holes that required a bit of a walk..I miss those holes...What do you guys think?

I dont mind a walk to get to an especially great hole. But I dont like a course that has long walks in between each hole. I also dont mind a filler hole or two to but not more than that. I guess I like balance in a course. if there is a great hole that requires a walk thats fine ... if a filler hole is necessary thats fine too. But lots of walks and lots of fillers holes take away from a course.
From the sound of those holes Id take the walk.

I don't mind the walk between holes.. for many courses it helps to spread them out and use more varried terrain. It can be a real con if the layout is bad to begin with.

I vote for zip-lines between tees.

Highbridge Hills in northern Wisconsin (http://www.highbridgehillssc.com/) used to have dune-buggy type carts for rent. I don't see anything about this on the website, but thought it was a cool idea. I'd rather walk (or zip-line), but thought it was cool.

As for whether I'd like filler holes or a long walk, give me the long walk (most of my local courses are almost all filler holes).

I'd say only up to 5 long walks are ok; anything more than that makes for a long round.

we have two of these at our course and to make it interesting we drive from the basket and the tee pad for the next hole is ourbbasket. its a nice way of giving you two extra holes.
