Cemetery on your disc golf course?

We have a new PDGA approved course here in Northern Michigan at Hanson Hills. My buddy and I played it today so I could beat Volklgirl to uploading photos (she already beat me to all the other courses near me!)

After the 16th basket, we came across a very small US Military Cemetery. (pictured) There were only two current occupants, but it seemed very odd to place one at the near summit of a ski hill.

Anyone else have the deceased keeping them honest on the back nine of their course?

Maybe it had something to do with where/how they died.

How was the course by the way? Been trying to figure out a road trip the past few days from Lansing.

I know I've posted this before, but it bears repeating because it's one of my favorite photos from my collection of photographs that I've take.

Plus, I got another picture from this course this past weekend

Was very enjoyable. The only thing I really wish was that it were 24 holes. See Hanson Hills' page here on DGCR for my review and a bunch of pictures I uploaded.

A nice Tip-Of-The-Mitt road trip could include either Avalanche Park or Boyne Mountain in the Boyne City area, Hickory Hills in the Traverse City area, or the Kingsley Civic Center in Kingsley along with Hanson Hills.

While very enjoyable and challenging, except for Kingsley, these are all ski hill courses, and are quite a workout. You may want to drive up to Hansen Hills and then hit Deerfield Park and/or the CMU course in Mt. Not-So-Effing-Pleasant on your way back, if climbing isn't your thing.

Lol, that's pretty funny and ironic.

I played a course where there was a long open fairway along the main road and a big cemetary across the road. Guess where I shanked my drive...
