Thumbs up

I play this hole almost weekly as the course is just a couple miles from my house. Tough hole.

I usually like to try and just get out around the bend with a mid range, then throw a putter and get as close to the basket as possible. Rarely do I birdie this one. Been down in that god forsaken creek more times than I'd like to admit. The slope to the left isn't very forgiving, and frequently kicks the disc hard to the right across the path and down into the creek. Your only hope is that the railroad ties that act as a short retaining wall can capture your disc when it starts to roll. Any shot that veers slightly to the right, and you're in the drink. (Unless you get lucky and hit a tree that kicks your shot left.)

Hole 16 is almost as bad, but there's more brush to the left and right that helps capture errant discs before they get all the way down into the creek.

Fantastic course all around. Holes 18 and 20 are two of my favorites.

^^^ yes, this would be the objective.
Flick a Shockwave and try to have it touch down before hitting the landscaping timbers on the left. Hopefully it wouldn't richochet too hard so that it stays on the path.

with all the horror stories from the locals, i'm splitting this one in half with a couple of putters, taking a 3 and helping everyone else find their garbage or count up their OB strokes.

Hmm...based on this I may switch gears. There's a shot I like to pull on a similar hole on my course.

I'll throw a Teebird or something similar on a stiff anny line It will get past the initial curve, begin to flex back and then slide all the way up to the basket. I could use a mid but I like sliding up to it. There's OB 40 feet behind the basket.

The teebox is further back than this pic shows.

Star Leopard on a very glidey shot to get into the fairway. Not going to try to push it after what we've heard about what's around it. haha

Good slides don't happen on this hole unfortunately. The fairway is 50/50 dirt and gravel until about 15-20' from the basket. Discs that land in the fairway usually stop on a dime.

If I had more skills, I'd try a nice s curve out and around the bend, then back towards the basket. When I throw an s curve now, it's by accident.
