Casey should tell you to simply invest in a time based mutual fund. Buy one targeting retirement date (henceforth known as RD), one targeting RD+7 years, and another targeting RD+20 years. This will set up a "ladder" approach that will transit you through retirement. But that will eat into his/her (can't tell with "Casey") commissions. So he/she will just keep giving you bad investment advice so you keep buying/selling products which gives Casey a little bit of commission for every transaction. You win/you loose, Casey doesn't care.
