I have never dyed a disc but had a bottle of black RIT and 2 brand new gateway prototype scouts that just begged for this technique.

I used a paint pan for the bucket and a big ass candle for weight, winged the liquid rit to water ratio and left the first one in for 8 minutes and the second one for 5.

1st one (realized it could've used a bit more juice):

2nd one (maybe a bit too much juice):

Awesome technique that even the rankest of amateurs could follow! Way to go!!

Billnchristy that second one is awesome. It almost looks like your looking down a jagged rock hole in the ground. Two thumbs up on that one!

I don't dye either, however one thread lead to another thread. This is the result:

Ion, of course. Thick and dark black RIT, with water only. One drop in the bucket. ALOT of weight maybe 15 pounds. About 5 minutes.

A Valk I found. No name of course. Same dye, but it turned out purple. Two drops, one for about 3 mins, 2nd about 5 mins. Less wieght, maybe two pounds.
