Scrubbing scratches... Found that out on the first Cryztal buzzz I removed the stamp on...

some plastics suck and some stamps suck.. I get acetone from Shewin Williams or any paint place, Home Depot is probably cheaper though

Some things I have used on HO scale slot car bodies to remove the paint but not harm the plastic is DOT 3 brake fluid, or Pine-Sol. Some times you have to let them soak. I do not know if this will work on discs.

|
Anything I should know about FLX plastic before attempting to remove a stamp? I swear I recall seeing a thread about FLX problems with acetone but I can't find it.

I sat an Orange FLX Buzzz in a plate of acetone becuase the stamp was being difficult. let it sit for about 1 minute.. when i picked it up the acetone liquid was tinted orange. Seems that acetone might actually break down FLX plastic slightly??
I remove the stamps from all the discs in my bag(except my OG wizards) and I've never had this happen before with other discs or plastics (not even other FLX discs)

acetone damages all plastics, just some more quickly than others. try putting acetone on styrofoam or in a small plastic dixie cup. it will eat right through it. acetone is a solvent and basically the opposite of anything petroleum based.
ive removed plenty of stamps from FLX plastic it doesn't do any major damage to the disc. i don't recommend ever soaking in acetone, or scrubbing with abrasive substances with acetone because that will cause damage. for really persistent stamps just use a cue tip with acetone (ideally not the ones with the plastic handle as they will demonstrate my earlier point)

I have had the best luck wiping discraft plastic with white stamps for some reason white comes right off.

i agree with birdman we got an entire order of discs for a players package one time that were all stamped white from discraft. we ended up mixing up the discs with our inventory so we would have some dye fodder available.
the same goes for Innova with the silver foil stamp.
