All first run teebirds, firebirds and eagles were the L mold. That is one thing you can count on when identifying a ce disc.

The clear Zone Driven Rocs are some of the hardest and most expensive rocs to find. They only produced a handfull of them (maybe 150 or so originally for the 2001 So Cal Open). Billy Crump ordered them from Zone Driven when he worked for them. Only a handfull were sent out to the So Cal Open..maybe 75 and the rest went out to the West Coast Innova factory. The ones that went to the factory were said to have been given some stamps, some were dyed and some were just forgotten about. There is probably about 30 or so that are known to exist and there is a registry with all the owner's names who still have them. From what Cali told me...Ron Perkins last sold one for around $2k.

so they make great throwers then?

alternatively

aren't there better retirement investment strategies?
granted in the current equity market it might not seem so

Supposedly, they rank up there with being the best Roc's ever made since the '01 CE Roc. Although I'm sure not too many throw them these days since there are not that many out there. Plus, no one wants to sell them. Ron Perkins was said to have had 11 of these at one time. So he's sitting on about $20K worth of discs just in that run alone. Amazing....not a bad investment for $25-30 dollars back in 2001.
